Samsung has officially launched the first beta version of its new One UI 7, based on Android 15, today, December 5, 2024.
The beta release comes after multiple delays, as Samsung initially planned to launch it months ago. However, the company had assured users that the beta would arrive before the end of the year, and the wait is finally over.
According to reliable sources, the beta program will begin with the Galaxy S24 series and expand to other devices in the coming weeks. Users can register for the beta through the Samsung Members app in select countries. Germany is confirmed to be one of the first regions to receive the update, signaling a broader initial rollout compared to previous years, when the program started in South Korea and the United States before reaching Europe and other regions.
One UI 7 is a major update to Samsung’s interface, featuring significant visual overhauls, redesigned animations, and app improvements, alongside enhancements from Android 15. Some of the updates, like splitting notifications from Quick Settings, have sparked debate, with critics pointing to similarities with iOS. Nevertheless, this is one of Samsung’s most substantial updates in years, bringing exciting features that users are eager to explore.
