Apple has announced its plans to significantly increase its presence in Saudi Arabia, with the launch of its online store scheduled for 2025 and the opening of physical retail stores set to begin in 2026.
This expansion follows Apple’s 2021 introduction of its developer academy in the country, and now the company aims to provide a localized experience with exceptional service and support in Arabic, available for the first time in the region through its online store.
The rollout of retail stores is planned to begin in 2026, with the first store expected to open in Diriyah, a UNESCO World Heritage site. Apple’s CEO, Tim Cook, expressed his excitement in a statement: “We’re thrilled to expand in Saudi Arabia with the online Apple Store launch next year and several flagship stores starting in 2026, including one at the beautiful site of Diriyah.”
Apple is also strengthening its connection with Saudi customers by offering solutions that support their business growth and personal passions. The company has already invested over 10 billion SAR in the Kingdom over the past five years, with App Store earnings for Saudi developers growing by more than 1750% since 2019.
Additionally, Apple is contributing to the Riyadh metro system by adding express transit support, making it part of over 250 cities worldwide that benefit from this feature.
